Active

TorZon is a large active English-speaking market launched in 2022, known for conventional escrow, support for both Bitcoin and Monero, and an extensive mirror network.

History

TorZon launched in September 2022 and grew steadily through repeated DDoS campaigns, establishing itself as one of the most reliable Western markets. By 2024 it was frequently named among the largest English-speaking venues, with reports of roughly a hundred thousand user accounts.

Operation

TorZon accepts both Bitcoin and Monero and uses conventional escrow rather than multisig, which keeps the checkout process simple. The site operates a large network of mirrors to survive connectivity attacks, publishes signed staff notes, and enforces PGP and 2-FA for vendors.

Current status

TorZon remains active and is widely listed among the leading markets of the late 2020s, in some trackers as the largest English-speaking venue. Its resilience to sustained DDoS pressure has been central to that position.

Legacy

TorZon shows that a conventional escrow model can still compete when combined with strong infrastructure and Bitcoin support, and it became one of the main beneficiaries of the 2025 fall of Archetyp and Abacus.
